The Role

My client is a leading provider of engineering and construction services to the UK transmission and distribution sector, delivering high-profile projects across the country. With a secured workstream for years to come, they are seeking an experienced OHL Project Manager to join their expanding team.

You will be responsible for delivering large-scale 132/275/400kV OHL projects across Scotland and the UK, initially supporting major projects in the Scottish central belt and Argyll & Bute. The role involves managing projects through their full lifecycle—ensuring safety, financial compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful delivery of multi-million-pound overhead line projects.
  • Manage project planning, risk & change management, budget control, and cash flow.
  • Lead and support project teams to meet key program milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with clients, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and subcontractors.
  • Apply industry best practices to ensure high standards in project execution.

What’s in It for You?

  • Exciting, meaningful projects shaping the future of UK energy.
  • Flexible working options, including hybrid/remote work where relevant.
  • Competitive salary with regular reviews.
  • Flexible benefits package, including 33 days annual leave, pension, private medical cover & life insurance.
  • Commitment to professional development, with tailored career plans.
  • Global networking opportunities with industry leaders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience leading OHL projects at 132/275/400kV.
  • Knowledge of DNO standards and NEC contract frameworks.
  • Ability to lead project teams and resolve site challenges proactively.
  • Strong financial, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.
