Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom seeks high calibre OHL design staff ranging from Engineer to Associate Technical Director to expand our electrical transmission, distribution and generation businesses. You will cover design, consultancy and execution across the life cycle of OHL systems, from concept to end of life, with familiarity of UK standards.

Qualifications

• Has proven experience of OHL system development, design, retrofitting and modification (11kV–400kV).
• Expert knowledge in CAD packages such as PLS-CADD.
• Proven track record in UK HSE legislation, Risk and CDM management.
• Significant experience within the electricity industry relating to OHL System design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status with a recognised body.
• Ideally Corporate membership of a leading UK engineering institution.

Role description:

We are seeking high calibre Overhead Line design staff in a range of roles, from Engineer level to Associate Technical Director, to expand our established electrical transmission & distribution and generation businesses. Someone who is capable of performing any detailed design or, consultancy role across the life cycle of an OHL system from concept stage; through design, construction, operational maintenance and end of life works. Familiar with the UK industry, holds knowledge of UK standards and legislation.

This role could be based anywhere in the UK.

Role accountabilities:

• You must have significant experience within the electricity industry, relating to OHL System design
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or, closely related discipline
• Ideally Hold and maintain chartered engineer status, with a recognised body
• Ideally Hold and maintain corporate membership of an appropriate leading UK engineering institution
