Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Senior OHL Design Engineer to support NG schemes on a 12-month consulting basis. The role offers flexible working arrangements, including part-time hours, remote work, and is outside IR35.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Undertake the design and development of OHL projects, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards, and client requirements.
2. Act as CDAE on behalf of the schemes.
3. Develop technical solutions and provide guidance on all aspects of OHL design, including conductor sizing, insulation selection, lightning protection, structure and foundation design and analysis.
4. Review and approve technical documents, such as specifications, drawings, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to the wider team, including tendering, mentoring, and training junior engineers.
