Job Description

Create value by engineering optimized MRO methods through integrating Rolls-Royce with the Maintenance and Overhaul network, focusing on driving efficiencies and developing competitiveness for Rolls-Royce.

Deliver engineering solutions that add value to Rolls-Royce and meet business lifecycle cost requirements.

Key Accountabilities

1. Develop and maintain the Technical Package to ensure the most technically efficient, modern, flexible, and low-cost methods.
2. Define and maintain technical requirements for component repair processes and ensure the repair network meets these requirements.
3. Ensure Maintenance, Operational, and Overhaul Technical data complies with regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements, managing delivery through the technical authoring supply chain.
4. Support product quality assessments, including First and Last Article Inspections (FAI/LAI), and approve repair suppliers via Verification Production Methods.
5. Analyze product service deterioration by collating findings from maintenance and overhaul facilities to inform product maturity strategies and lifecycle cost opportunities.
6. Coordinate between Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Service Operations, Design, and other stakeholders to provide ongoing support and identify improvements.
7. Ensure technical solutions meet requirements, including returning service components to serviceable condition where applicable.
8. Assist in setting up and approving new repair and overhaul facilities and capabilities.
9. Identify gaps in repair technology.

Key Experiences and Qualifications

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent industrial experience.
• Strong knowledge of relevant components and systems, considering form, fit, and function.
• Practical problem-solving skills in technical contexts.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and special processes.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply practical manufacturing thinking.
