Clarke Energy Ltd. is seeking an Overhaul & Repair Engineer to perform major overhauls and repairs on Jenbacher gas engines in Knowsley, UK.

This hands-on role requires precision engineering, adherence to schedules, and strong safety practices within a collaborative workshop environment. You will lead rebuilds, verify faults, manage parts, and document activities, contributing to high reliability for customers across the UK.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical engineer or extensive engine rebuild experience.
• Experience of major overhauls on reciprocating engines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Safety-conscious and methodical with precise workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical rebuilds of reciprocating gas engines, including full strip-down and reassembly.
• Identify, assess and report faults discovered during disassembly and repair.
• Request required parts from stock and ensure efficient use of components.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time, ensuring traceable records.
• Supervise semi-skilled staff and apprentices involved in overhauls.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and maintain a tidy, compliant workshop.
