Job summary

A global aerospace company in the UK is seeking an Aftermarket On-Wing Overhaul Base Manager to lead the business relationship with MRO service providers. The ideal candidate will coordinate operational activities, ensure compliance with service agreements, and support troubleshooting and repair implementations. Overview

Aftermarket On-Wing Overhaul Base Manager – UK

The Successful Candidate must be able to travel to London - Heathrow at least once a week.

The Overhaul Base Manager is a leadership position within the Aftermarket On-Wing organisation aligned to the VP On-Wing & Field Services. It is primarily focused on the business relationship between the Aftermarket On-Wing organisation and our MRO service providers. This role is a key interface point for the broader, global Aftermarket organisation and will interface with the regional OBMs to ensure we drive and achieve our key deliverables. The ideal candidate must be able to plan and coordinate many different kinds of operational activities in a diverse technical environment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Act as a key interface between the UK and global MRO teams.
  • Expand and improve the business relationship through professional support and participation in key meetings.
  • Coordinate interface activities between the global MRO Aftermarket organisation and the MRO service provider – inclusive of our turn-around-time activities, ramp-up plans and operational plans.
  • Ensure compliance to service provider agreements and customer contract requirements.
  • Where needed, support the regional OBMs with operational activities, to include hardware dispositioning, engine system troubleshooting, and failure investigations in support of the MRO service provider.
  • Lead repair implementation activity with the MRO base.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in MRO

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with airworthiness regulations
  • Ability to prioritise, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focus
  • Strong operational understanding
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with shop personnel and good network across organisation.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic ability, problem solving, and decision making
  • Experience working with multiple business functions, both technical and non-technical
