Job summary

Ryanair is seeking an Outstation Manager based at Stansted Airport to lead maintenance operations, ensuring safety and reliability across all outstation activities. The role works with AES as our engineering partner to deliver high standards of performance in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have strong operations leadership, capable people management and a hands-on approach. Expect UK-wide travel with a Monday–Friday schedule at Stansted and a focus on safety, compliance

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an operations management role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager or similar).
• Strong team management skills, with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Flexible, hands-on approach to leadership.
• Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of UK CAA and EASA Part 145 is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage routine maintenance, aircraft incidents and AOGs.
• Plan manpower, recruit, engage staff and manage performance.
• Ensure spare parts, tooling and facilities at each site.
• Visit Line Stations across the UK to support staff welfare and compliance.
• Investigate maintenance delays and non-compliances; implement preventive actions.
