You will deliver high-quality teaching to and assess pupils to secure strong progress and outcomes across Year 5/6, with SATs preparation and smooth transition to secondary school.

Qualifications

• Recent Upper Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Proven track record of securing strong pupil progress and outcomes.
• Commitment to raising standards and high-quality teaching.

Responsibilities

• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with recent experience of teaching in Upper Key Stage 2.
• Have a secure understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment requirements, including SATs preparation and transition to secondary school.
• Inspire, challenge and motivate pupils to achieve their best academically, socially and emotionally.
• Use assessment effectively to identify gaps in learning and adapt teaching to ensure all pupils make strong progress.
• Champion inclusive practice and consistently deliver high-quality teaching that enables every pupil to succeed.
• Demonstrate high expectations for achievement, presentation, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
• Act as a role model for colleagues, sharing effective practice and contributing to whole-school improvement.
• Work collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, parents and the wider community to strengthen standards and outcomes.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and support our vision of providing the best education for every child.
