Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher seeking a rewarding role in a secondary school environment? A well-regarded secondary school in Epsom, Surrey, is looking for a talented History Teacher to join their highly successful Humanities department. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a committed History Teacher to inspire the next generation and contribute to a vibrant learning community. What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who can bring History to life for our students. The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
  • Experienced in teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from ECTs.
  • Passionate about History and able to convey that passion to students of all abilities.
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of learning.
  • A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Dedicated to their own professional development and eager to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, planning, and development activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
