Our inclusive and ambitious school in Newham is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Girls' PE who is looking to develop their career and take on additional responsibility, particularly within the realm of girls' school sport and promoting well-being through physical activity. This role offers the potential for a TLR for a candidate who is committed to excellence and wants to contribute to the leadership of the PE department and the holistic development of our female students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Girls' PE lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire female students to achieve their full potential in physical education and develop a positive relationship with their bodies and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the sporting and well-being opportunities for female students.
  • Contribute to the organization and delivery of extracurricular sports clubs and initiatives focused on girls' well-being through physical activity.
  • TLR opportunities may be available in areas such as leading specific girls' sports teams, managing the girls' extracurricular sports program, developing well-being initiatives through PE, or establishing partnerships to promote girls' health and fitness.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A strong commitment to student success, well-being, and the promotion of girls' participation in sport and physical activity.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be a positive role model and advocate for young women.
  • A desire to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to leadership within girls' PE, school sport, and well-being initiatives (for TLR consideration).
