Outside Sales Representative - Trench Safety

Job Overview

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating profitable business for Trench Safety by developing your assigned territory, implementing sales plans, maintaining existing customer relationships, and helping to build the Sunbelt brand nationally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote Sunbelt’s safety culture and solutions.
  2. Develop and execute sales plans to grow the customer base within your territory and market segments.
  3. Visit prospective and existing customers via phone, planned visits, or cold calls.
  4. Prepare proposals and bid packages, understanding blueprints and technical documents.
  5. Provide application solutions and promote safety training capabilities.
  6. Coordinate project specifications with internal teams.
  7. Monitor competitor activities and maintain CRM data diligently.
  8. Achieve sales targets and contribute to market growth.
  9. Collaborate with other Sunbelt representatives and educate them on Trench Safety products.
  10. Handle customer accounts, including collections and record-keeping.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in equipment rental or Shoring industry, plus 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Strong project management and customer retention skills.
  • Proven solution-selling sales track record.
  • Technical background with the ability to present technical information.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • Previous industry experience preferred.
Additional Information

Base pay ranges from $40,000 to $72,558, with a comprehensive benefits and commission plan. Starting pay varies based on experience and location. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, and more. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
