UK-based (Remote/Hybrid)

We’re seeking a highly experienced Platform Manager - Cloud to drive the technical delivery of core infrastructure, cloud architecture, and security for a new banking entity. This is a pivotal role requiring deep expertise in Azure, cross-functional team leadership, and a sharp focus on security, scalability, and regulatory readiness.

The Role:

1. Lead a virtual, cross-functional team covering Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, Networking, and Cybersecurity.
2. Define and deliver a secure, high-performance, and scalable infrastructure aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure infrastructure readiness for banking operations.
4. Ensure security policies, disaster recovery, and compliance controls are implemented and tested.
5. Identify and close skills gaps within the delivery team to meet project milestones.

Key Skills

1. Proven track record in leading complex infrastructure builds, ideally in regulated environments.
2. Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure (especially IaaS, networking, and cloud security).
3. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, Ansible).
4. Familiarity with financial services or banking infrastructure requirements is highly desirable.
5. Excellent stakeholder communication skills, able to move from deep tech to business summary effortlessly.

Should also have …

1. Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery and penetration testing strategies.
2. Prior exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks (FCA, FFIEC, SOX, etc.).
3. Ability to lead distributed teams across time zones and suppliers.
