Join Our Team as an Outreach Youth Mentor - Make a Difference!

Position: Outreach Youth Worker
Hourly Rate: 20 per hour, PAYE
Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole
Working Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Age Group: Key Stage 1-4
Specialist Provision: SEN, SEND, SEMH, Behavioural, Medical

About the Role:

As an Outreach Youth Mentor, you will support primary and secondary students facing emotional, social, and educational challenges. Your role involves helping them build confidence, improve social skills, and reintegrate into educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide emotional support and listen to young people's challenges.

- Help develop life skills such as problem-solving and communication.

- Foster self-esteem by encouraging students to recognise their strengths.

- Act as a positive role model and support behavioural reintegration into schools.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience: 2+ years working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviour.

- Qualities: Compassion, patience, and a proactive attitude.

- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Flexibility: Adaptable to meet individual student needs.

- DBS: Enhanced DBS on the update system (or willingness to apply).

- Eligibility: Right to work in the UK and a full UK driving license required.

- Insurance: Business insurance is mandatory.
