Job description

Make a positive difference in someone’s life by joining The Richmond Fellowship Scotland at our Dundee Outreach service. Help support those who need it most in our communities.

Full-time and part-time contracts are available.

Note: Due to the nature of this role, applicants must have a driving licence.

No previous care experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided by our award-winning learning & development team. This includes classroom sessions, e-learning, shadowing current Support Practitioners, and meeting the people you will support.

We also fully finance and support your achievement of the SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification.

Flexibility is essential, as shifts vary from early, back, late, to sleepovers.

About The Role

Your responsibilities as an Outreach Worker could include:

  • Social Support: Assisting individuals to engage with their communities through outings to clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming, etc.
  • Medical Support: Administering and monitoring medication.
  • Personal Care: Supporting individuals with showering, bathing, dressing, arranging healthcare visits, and incontinence care.
  • Practical Support: Helping maintain their tenancy by encouraging household tasks like housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, and shopping.
