Overview

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a reliable and compassionate Outreach Driver to support a specialist SEMH provision in Wythenshawe (M22), working with students aged 11-16 who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. This is a unique and rewarding role that combines transportation, community outreach, and student support.

Role Overview
  • Transporting students to and from educational settings and outreach activities
  • Supporting students in the community under set work plans
  • Building positive relationships and promoting engagement
  • Working closely with teaching staff and outreach coordinators
  • Ensuring safeguarding and safety protocols are followed at all times
Ideal Candidate
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience working with young people, ideally with SEMH or behavioural needs
  • Calm, patient and confident in lone-working situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
Requirements
  • Comfortable driving your own car (mileage reimbursed)
  • Able to follow structured plans and report back to staff
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training
