Job description

The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

Location: Surrey
Position: 1:1 Tutor
Start date: ASAP
End date: Ongoing - Definitely until the end of the academic year, with potential of being extended.
Contract type: Temporary
Hours: 1-3 hours per day - 5 days per week - per student (Monday - Friday)
Rate of pay: £25/£35 per hour
Term Time Only
During School Hours Only

We are looking for candidates who are:

  1. Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
  2. Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
  3. Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
  4. Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
  5. Prepared to work face to face within the community.

Requirements:

  1. Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
  2. QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects.
  3. Experience working with SEMH/ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
  4. 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
