Job description

The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs, so we are seeking experienced SEN / HLTA / tutors / teachers.

Position Details
  • Location: Islington, London
  • Position: 1:1 KS4 Tutor
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing, likely until the end of the academic year with potential extension
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Hours: 2 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
  • Rate of pay: £25 - £35 per hour
  • Term: Term Time Only
  • During: School Hours Only
Candidate Requirements
  • Available during school hours, up to 30 hours per week
  • Experience delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs including SEMH, ASC, MLD, SpLD
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Willing to work face-to-face within the community
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Background in teaching English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes from KS1 to KS5
  • QTS or equivalent, or unqualified with at least two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
  • Experience working with SEMH, ASD, EBD, and related complex needs
  • At least 2 years' experience in a UK school setting
