A UK-based educational agency is seeking a SEND Tutor to provide personalized 1:1 lessons for students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for creating tailored lesson plans, supporting their confidence, and helping them develop life skills. The role requires UK education experience and relevant qualifications. This is a temporary contract position based in Tameside with flexible hours offering a competitive pay rate.

Overview

As a SEND Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons that are tailored to each student. The aim of tuition will be to support in the re-integration process of education. The tuition is replacing school for these young people and each individual is commissioned a certain amount of hours. Prospero will work closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.

  • Hours: Ranging from 6-30 Hours P/W
  • Rate of pay: From GBP25 GBP30 per hour
Your Role
  • Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition supporting students with SEND, focusing on building confidence, teaching life skills, how to safely access the community, simple cooking and fostering Independence
  • Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.
Eligibility
  • Child related / Education qualification.
  • Possess UK education experience.
  • Have experience working with SEND.
  • Hold right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Be able to reference the last two years of employment
