Job summary

1st Staff Limited are seeking a 1:1 Tutor to work with children with SEN in the Lowestoft area. Sessions are delivered on a 1:1 basis to students unable to attend mainstream education, with a caring approach to build rapport. Suitable backgrounds include Teacher, TA, Tutor or Mentor.

Role locations include the child’s home, local library or community centre. Hours are 10–15 per week (part-time) with the option for full-time by supporting multiple students. Start ASAP for English & Maths tutoring.

The Role

1st Staff are looking for a Tutor to work with children with a range of SEN in the Lowestoft area. The role will be to deliver sessions on a 1:1 basis to young people unable to attend mainstream education. The ideal candidate would have a caring and friendly nature, allowing them to build a rapport with the young person. The ideal candidate would have experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Tutor or Mentor.

Position Details

• Location - Child's home, Local library or Community Centre
• Position - 1:1 Tutor
• Hours - Part-time or Full-time - Most referrals are between 10-15h/week. Tutors looking for a full-time role would usually work with multiple students.
• Start date - ASAP
• Subjects - English & Maths
