Kingfisher School is seeking a dedicated role to support young people through developing positive relationships and promoting self-esteem, with responsibilities including observing progress, contributing to learning plans and reporting to the headteacher.
You will work with the Outreach Team Leader, provide guidance to parents, assist with EHC plans, and help deliver an enriched and varied curriculum while safeguarding and following child-protection policies.

To have due regard for safeguarding and promotingthe welfare of young people. To follow child protection and other relatedpolicies and good practice procedures.
To work closely with The Outreach Team Leader inproviding training and by attending monitoring and review meetings as required.
To provide advice for parents/carers on anindividual basis.
To reports to the head teacher as requiredproviding monitoring information and feedback in respect of the workundertaken.
To provide information and reports in support ofmulti-agency meetings as required and promote the development of positiveinteragency working.
To plan activities that would complement thetherapeutic needs of the young people on the programme.
Take part in training, meetings and reviews.
To engage in planned activities with individualpupils to develop and promote positive emotional health and well-being. Develop knowledge of the learning support needs of individualpupils.
Aid their learning as effectively as possible inall areas.
Support the building of resilience and making goodchoices.
Ensure they are able to gain and sustain life-skills.
Assist them in weaker areas such as language, and social skills.
Help them to concentrate on and complete periods of study.
Meet physical needs as required while encouraging independence.
Assist with the implementation of EHC plans.
Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses.
Undertake intervention programmes linked to localand national learning strategies, recording achievement and progress, andproviding feedback to the head teacher.
Support the use of IT and computing in learningactivities and develop pupils' competence and independence in its use.
Assist with the development and maintenance ofindividual programmes required to meet relevant learning and specific personalneeds and support the delivery of an enriched and varied curriculum.
