ckerman Pierce works closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children awaiting school placements. The children we support have a range of additional complex needs, and we are seeking experienced SEN / HLTA / tutors / teachers.

We are currently recruiting for Outreach Tutors to support learners in and around Ipswich, with support in Math and English required.

  • Location - Ipswich
  • Position - 1:1 Tutor
  • Start date - ASAP
  • End date - Ongoing
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Hours - Up to 15 hours per week per learner
  • Rate of pay - Starting at £30 per hour
  • Term Time Only
  • During School Hours Only

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Available during school hours, up to 30 hours per week.
  • Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
  • Experienced in teaching young people with complex needs including SEMH, ASC, MLD, SpLD.
  • Exceptional behaviour management skills.
  • Willing to work face-to-face within the community.

Requirements

  • Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes from KS1 to KS5.
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with at least two years' experience teaching NC core subjects.
  • Experience working with ASD, EBD, SEMH, and related complex needs.
  • At least two years of previous experience working within a UK school.
