Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to join the Patient Access Team as an Ophthalmology Outpatients Receptionist.

The role involves welcoming patients to our department, booking outpatient appointments, and handling administrative duties related to follow-up processes.

You will also have the opportunity to work and train in other areas within Patient Access, gaining essential skills and experience to support your personal development.

Main duties of the job
  • Welcoming patients to our department, checking vital information on patient records, and updating as necessary.
  • Following specialty-specific processes regarding patient follow-up appointments.
  • Preparing for the Oral/Orthodontic clinics, a weekly task, and updating daily or as needed.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to complete daily workloads.
  • Arranging outpatient appointments using the Choose and Book system, including confirming, canceling, and rescheduling appointments.
  • Communicating effectively with patients about their appointments via email, phone, or letter.
  • Arranging transport and translation services as needed.
