Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to join the Patient Access Team as an Outpatients Receptionist.

The role involves welcoming patients to our department, booking outpatient appointments, and handling administrative duties related to follow-up processes.

You will also have the opportunity to work and train in other areas within Patient Access, gaining essential skills and experience to support your ongoing personal development.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Welcoming patients, checking vital information on their records, and updating as necessary.
  2. Following process-specific procedures for patient follow-up appointments.
  3. Preparing for the Oral/Orthodontic clinic, a weekly task, and updating as needed.
  4. Working as part of a team to complete daily workload.
  5. Arranging outpatient appointments using the Choose and Book system, including confirming, cancelling, and rescheduling appointments.
  6. Communicating effectively with patients regarding their appointments via email, phone, or letter.
  7. Arranging transport and translation services when necessary.
