Outpatients Receptionist/Booking Co-Ordinator - Amersham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, personable, dynamic, and self-motivated individual to join the Patient Access Team as an Outpatients Receptionist.

The role involves welcoming patients to our department, booking outpatient appointments, and handling administrative duties related to follow-up processes.

You will also have the opportunity to work and train in other areas within Patient Access, gaining essential skills and experience to support your ongoing personal development.

Main duties of the job
  1. Welcoming patients to the department, checking vital information on their records, and updating as necessary.
  2. Following specialty-specific processes regarding patient follow-up appointments.
  3. Preparing for the Oral/Orthodontic clinic weekly, with updates as needed.
  4. Working as part of a team to complete daily workloads.
  5. Arranging outpatient appointments using the Choose and Book system, confirming, canceling, and modifying appointments as necessary.
  6. Communicating effectively with patients regarding their appointments via email, phone, or letter.
  7. Arranging transport and translation services when required.
