A leading healthcare organisation in Swanage seeks a part-time Outpatient Supervisor to join its administration team. You will manage outpatient clinics and support administrative staff across two community hospitals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and meet service standards. This role offers flexibility with working hours and contributes to high-quality service delivery within a friendly environment.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Outpatient Supervisor to join our administration team at Swanage and Wareham Hospitals. You will be working at two small, friendly community hospitals, both with a family atmosphere and staff who put patients at the heart of everything they do.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to provide line management to the outpatient admin staff and receptionists.
This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours per week, split over four or five mornings, ideally starting at 0800.
You will have excellent customer service skills and will be fully committed to providing high-quality service to patients, staff, and visitors. A positive attitude and professional approach are essential, as is the ability to multitask and manage your workload. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and numeracy skills are required.
Your responsibilities will include managing outpatient clinics, supporting administrators daily, ensuring service standards are met, and managing reception teams at both hospitals. You will monitor training needs, conduct appraisals, and support the Outpatient Admin Manager.
The role is varied and interesting, offering opportunities to enhance your skills. Your duties include managing outpatient admin workload, scheduling clinics, processing referrals, booking and rescheduling appointments, liaising with healthcare professionals, and completing departmental statistics.
