Job overview

The post holder, as a member of the Outpatient Service Team, will provide a high quality and comprehensive range of administrative and reception duties.

They will ensure a high quality, cost-effective, and efficient service to Outpatient users, working with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver an excellent patient and user experience.

Main duties of the job

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, patients, and their families/visitors/carers.
  • As the first point of contact, ensure patients are comfortable and treated with kindness, respect, and dignity.
  • Register patients on the Trust’s Electronic Patient Records System (EPIC).
  • Assist patients using self-check-in kiosks.
  • Help patients with outpatient-related queries.
  • Provide courteous and efficient follow-up appointment booking services.
  • Resolve appointment booking issues efficiently with patients, clinical staff, or colleagues.

Meet and greet patients and book appointments promptly.
