A healthcare provider in Hampshire is seeking a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join their Outpatient Pharmacy team in Basingstoke. The role involves dispensing prescriptions, collaborating with pharmacists, and organisational duties. Suitable candidates should have experience in pharmacy and strong communication skills. This role offers further training and the opportunity for cross-site working, with an emphasis on providing excellent patient care.
As a member of the Outpatient pharmacy team, you would contribute to the provision of a range of pharmaceutical services: dispensing and issuing prescriptions, giving advice where appropriate, working alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with legal guidelines and departmental procedures to meet the needs of our customers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant with excellent organisational skills to join our team in Outpatient Pharmacy. This post would suit somebody with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment. Further training and development will be provided.
The Outpatient pharmacies are based on the Basingstoke and Winchester sites of Hampshire Hospitals; this position will be based on the Basingstoke site, with cross-site working may be required. Our opening times are Monday - Friday 8:30am–5pm and weekend working is not required.
