Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Assistant to join our expanding team. Based in the outpatient pharmacy, you will provide dispensing services and act as the first point of contact for patients at reception, ensuring friendly, efficient and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and people skills with patients and staff.
• Willingness to work in outpatient pharmacy and front reception.
• Band 2 progression to Band 3 after NVQ Level 2 and suitable performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide dispensing services to the outpatient department and support clinical activities.
• Serve in the reception area as the first point of contact for patients and carers.
• Replenish stock and prepare outpatient pharmacy items; transport from main pharmacy as needed.
• Train and supervise other pharmacy staff within the reception area.
