Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) in Denbigh is recruiting a Health Care Support Worker for the IV Suite/Outpatients Department, delivering intravenous therapy and aiding outpatient clinics closest to home.

The successful candidate will support registered nurses, provide compassionate patient care, and assist with preparation, delivery and monitoring of care in a busy clinical environment, upholding infection control and dignity at all times.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Care (or equivalent)
• Ability to demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach
• Experience of working as part of a team and in a caring capacity

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering care with supervision.
• Undertake personal care activities and tasks as delegated by a registered healthcare professional.
• Ensure the registered health professional is regularly updated on the patient condition and improvement/deterioration.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appropriate storage of stock items.
• Deliver role in accordance with Health Board/Trust values and the Code of Conduct for HCSWs in Wales.
