Job summary

You will support him to manage anxiety in noisy settings, accompany walks, cinema visits, cafés and shopping, and build rapport through shared interests like gaming. DBS check will be required and cost covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Must be a car driver and able to drive for outings.
• Friendly, reliable and supportive with a calm manner.
• Comfortable in outdoor settings and quieter environments.

Responsibilities

• Support a young man with autism on planned trips and activities.
• Assist with visits to cafés, shopping and other outings to build confidence.
• Develop rapport through shared interests such as gaming and escape rooms.
• Initially accompany outings by car; work toward using public transport to improve independence.
