Job summary

KHR Recruitment Specialists is recruiting for a Workshop and Installations Technician for a luxury outdoor lifestyle business based in the UK. The role covers manufacturing, assembly and on-site installation of bespoke outdoor structures across the UK and internationally, with occasional travel and overnight stays.

You will join a close-knit team, support warehouse operations, stock control and product deliveries, and assist with international installations when required.

Qualifications

• Strong practical DIY skills.
• Experience using power tools or willingness to learn.
• Backgrounds in carpentry, property maintenance, installations or general maintenance would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working on-site and travelling to different locations.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Valid passport for international travel.
• Basic IT skills.
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner with customers.

Responsibilities

• Cutting timber to size, creating joints and preparing materials.
• Sanding, staining and finishing timber components.
• Assembling framework structures using brackets and fixings.
• Pre-assembling structures within the warehouse environment.
• Fitting canvas panels and additional components.
• Disassembling completed structures for packing and transportation.
• Supporting stock control and ordering of warehouse materials.
• Packing products safely for UK and international transportation.
• Transporting products and tools to customer sites using company vehicles.
• Installing structures on-site as part of a team.
• Carrying out international installations when required.
• Visiting existing customer sites to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Assisting warehouse operations during quieter periods.
• Supporting deliveries to UK customers.
• Liaising with suppliers regarding materials and deliveries.
• Collecting materials from suppliers.
• Working closely with the design team to identify product improvements.
