Job summary

Plymouth Community Homes in Plymouth’s Crownhill area is seeking a Neighbourhood Ranger to keep streets and spaces clean, safe and welcoming. You’ll be out and about, maintaining green spaces, carrying out caretaking tasks and helping prepare homes for new tenants.

This on-site, full-time role offers varied daily duties across our Environmental Services team, with practical, hands-on work and a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or caretaking would be beneficial, but attitude and willingness to learn are important.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance, grass cutting, hedge trimming and keeping outdoor spaces looking their best.
• Caretaking and cleaning of communal areas and neighbourhood facilities.
• Supporting property clearances and preparing homes for new residents.
• Carrying out safety checks and helping ensure neighbourhoods remain safe and well maintained.
• Responding to issues raised by residents and working with colleagues to find solutions.
• Using a range of tools, machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Supporting a variety of operational activities across our Environmental Services team.
