Job summary

IMSERV, a leading energy data collection specialist, is seeking a Meter Reader for the Highlands and Islands. This part-time role (15 hours weekly, two days) involves collecting data from commercial meters, updating reads on a handheld device, and travelling across Orkney as needed.

No prior experience required; however, you must enjoy outdoor work, be self-motivated, and able to work to schedules with a professional approach to customers.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Self-motivated and reliable with a proactive approach to tasks.
• Able to communicate clearly with commercial customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Collect data from commercial electricity meters and record reads accurately.
• Update meter reads throughout the day on a handheld device.
• Plan daily routes and travel across the Highlands and Islands as required.
• Work independently, meeting timescales while maintaining accuracy.
