Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Meter Reader to cover Hertfordshire and Slough. You will visit residential and commercial properties to collect accurate meter readings using a handheld device, plan routes, and deliver excellent customer service.

The role is outdoors, involves walking and driving in all weather, and requires a full UK driving licence with up to six points. The position offers a 40-hour week, with shifts 8:00am–8:00pm, Monday to Sunday, with weekend work. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Desirable customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to plan routes and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Visit properties to obtain accurate meter readings.
• Record meter readings accurately using handheld device.
• Plan daily routes and maximise productivity.
• Provide excellent customer service during visits.
• Gain access to meters safely and professionally.
• Work independently with accuracy and efficiency.
• Follow health and safety procedures in the field.
• Represent the company professionally at customer properties.
• Ensure customer and meter data is recorded correctly.
