Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) in Wath-upon-Dearne is hiring a Litter Picker for a busy recycling facility. This temporary role is site-based and outdoors, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Overtime is available and weekly pay is provided. The position offers a temporary-to-permanent pathway as the operation grows, with opportunities to progress into roles such as Site Operative or Waste Sorter, subject to performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous litter-picking or outdoor cleaning experience is desirable
• Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Physically fit and able to carry out a hands-on role

Responsibilities

• Litter picking across the site
• Keeping outdoor areas, walkways and access routes clean and tidy
• Collecting and disposing of waste safely and correctly
• Sweeping external areas and clearing debris
• Emptying bins and maintaining housekeeping standards across the site
• Reporting health and safety concerns to management
• Following all site health and safety procedures at all times
