Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an Outdoor Learning Support Assistant for a specialist outdoor education setting in South Brent. The role supports pupils in outdoor activities, delivering hands-on learning away from the traditional classroom.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students with additional needs to engage, build confidence and develop life skills through nature-based experiences. This is a rewarding role for outdoor‑minded individuals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people
• Interest in outdoor learning and practical education
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during outdoor learning activities and practical sessions
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs
• Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and engagement through outdoor learning
• Support behaviour and emotional regulation in a structured environment
• Work with staff to deliver engaging learning opportunities
• Encourage participation in nature-based activities and life skills
