Outdoor Learning Support Assistant
This is a part-time, term-time position working 27.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year (term time, plus INSET days).
Salary: BTCT points 3, with an actual starting salary of GBP 15,225.47 per annum.
This is a permanent role.
The Apex Centre is an offsite provision providing support and intervention services to vulnerable students attending schools within Bridgwater & Taunton College Trust. It caters to students aged 5-16 on a 22-acre site with gardens, a small holding, and a Forest School.
We are seeking to appoint an Outdoor Learning Support Assistant to join our team of support and teaching staff. The team is responsible for developing the skills and unlocking the potential of young people at risk of permanent exclusion. This role offers the opportunity to work in a bespoke curriculum setting tailored to individual learners' needs.
The role mainly involves outdoor work in gardens, Forest School sessions, or caring for our small collection of animals. It provides a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who deserve every success in life.
Successful candidates will have at least GCSE (or equivalent) grade C in English and maths and will be committed to building strong relationships and prioritizing students' needs.
