Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction in Selby, North Yorkshire is seeking Temporary Labourers for a long-term project starting mid/late September 2026 and running through to April 2027. The role is outdoor and physically demanding, with 8-hour shifts beginning around 7am or 8am.

You will work on general labour tasks, assist trades and site teams, keep areas clean, and follow strict health and safety procedures on site.

Qualifications

• A valid CSCS card.
• The Right to Work in the UK.
• Own reliable transport - essential due to the site location.
• Previous labouring or construction site experience.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual work.
• Flexibility around start times (7am or 8am).

Responsibilities

• General labouring duties across the site.
• Manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
• Assisting trades and site teams where required.
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Following site health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
