Job summary

Waste Investigations Support & Enforcement (WISE) in the UK is seeking Environmental Enforcement Officers for frontline patrolling and enforcing littering, fly-tipping and related offences. You will issue Fixed Penalty Notices to members of the public on foot patrol in busy town centres and residential streets.

This outdoor, front-line role is ideal for confident individuals who work well independently and enjoy a visible impact on local communities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and professional demeanor.

• Comfortable outdoors in all weather.
• Basic IT/report writing skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and detail-focused.
• Ability to work independently; driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Foot patrol in town centres and residential streets.
• Observe offences like littering, dog fouling and fly-tipping.
• Approach offenders confidently and issue Fixed Penalty Notices.
• Educate the public on environmental responsibilities.
• Record evidence and reports accurately.
• Work independently within the enforcement team.
