4DWW will be rolled out within our school, when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join us #teamOFG!

Location: Crookhey Hall, Cockerham, LA2 0HA

Salary: £30,000 per annum plus £1,500 per annum responsibility allowance

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Outdoor Education Instructor to join our fantastic team at Crookhey Hall, Cockerham. The post holder will be expected to liaise with staff across the organisation to ensure a consistency of approach regarding standards, support, transition, and quality of provision.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • To raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the faculty.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress in conjunction with SLT lead for curriculum, utilising faculty data.
  • To be accountable for pupil progress and outcomes within the faculty.
  • To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department across all Key Stages.
  • To be accountable for leading and developing the faculty curriculum. Ensure the range of subjects and qualifications are regularly reviewed in response to national developments and the needs of the school and students.
  • To lead all department Quality Assurance requirements including regular deep dives at the discretion of SLT lead for curriculum.
  • Annual writing and maintenance of Faculty Development Plan.
  • Use own classes and sessions as an example of high-quality provision in the subject.
  • To take the lead in developing whole school cross-curricular links to increase the breadth and scope of how Outdoor Education impacts the whole school curriculum.
