Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Outbound Sales Specialist to join our growing team. This role focuses on developing new customer relationships, using market and scientific insights to expand our customer footprint in the Life Sciences sector.

Key responsibilities

New Customer Development and Qualification:

  • Establish, develop and nurture relationships with prospective customers and qualify sales opportunities.

Sales Campaign Execution:

  • Use market and scientific insights delivered through targeted multi-channel sales strategies via phone, email, social media, face-to-face interactions and conferences to generate sales leads.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maximise lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Support the development of presentations, brochures, manuals, blogs, data sheets, application notes, videos and other sales and marketing materials as needed for sales development.

Account Management Support:

  • Support the closing of opportunities by showcasing the value of BiologIC’s platform to prospective customers.
  • Support the sales process, including presentations, negotiations and contract finalisation.

Pipeline Management, Performance and KPIs:

  • Meet and exceed Objectives and Key Results, including revenue targets, conversion rates and productivity metrics.
  • Leverage analytics and feedback to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Maintain a robust and consistent pipeline of prospects and leads, ensuring opportunities are actively nurtured, progressed and qualified.
  • Provide detailed pipeline reports and accurate sales forecasts to our management team.

Requirements:

  • Results-Oriented: A resilient and self-motivated individual who will consistently apply themselves to achieving targets in a dynamic, high-achieving setting.
  • Industry Expertise: Knowledge of, or experience in, the Life Sciences sector is highly advantageous. Passionate about the impact of new technologies in improving customer outcomes.
  • Communication: Exceptional relationship, verbal and written communication skills, with a persuasive and professional approach. Thrives in a team environment with the ability to act autonomously when required.
  • Tools Proficiency: Competence with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools.

Essential

  • Undergraduate Degree in Biological Sciences, or similar relevant field.
  • Proactivity, resilience and aptitude for finding innovative solutions to sales challenges.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills required.

Advantageous

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales role, specifically within the Life Sciences sector in the UK.
