Job summary

Wilson Veterinary Group in Bishop Auckland is seeking an experienced out-of-hours (OOH) veterinarian to join our dedicated night team. This sole charge position works alongside one nurse and one auxiliary, with a 7 on/3 off rota pattern within a 4-week cycle.

We offer in-house lab, CT scanner (pending), digital X-ray, ultrasound, GI endoscopes, cystoscope, bronchoscope, and hydrotherapy facilities. ECC training is encouraged and supported; accommodation can be provided if required.

Qualifications

• ECC training opportunities and support for further development.
• Experience in small animal practice preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Out-of-hours sole charge veterinary role alongside one nurse and one auxiliary.
• Work a 4-week cycle rota (7 days on, 21 days off) with accommodation available if required.

We are a Small Animal Practice based in the beautiful county Durham, looking for a out-of-hours (OOH) Vet to join our dedicated night team.

This is a sole charge position working alongside one nurse and one auxiliary.

Rota - working a pattern of 7 continuous shifts followed by 3 weeks off work, in a 4-week cycle (1 week on, 3 weeks off).

Are you keen to work in a practice equipped with an array of in-house equipment to help you care for the inpatients, including an in-house laboratory, CT scanner (pending installation), digital X-ray, ultrasound, upper and lower GI tract endoscopes, rigid female canine cystoscope, bronchoscope, and a hydrotherapy unit?

Are you ECC trained, or do you want to develop your ECC skills? We have certificate holders in various disciplines, and we will support further training.

Accommodation can be provided if required.
