Job summary

Cumbria Health is seeking a Bank Driver to support our Out of Hours operational team, transporting clinicians to patient visits and providing on-site support to ensure responsive care across Cumbria.

Shifts cover evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. You will work with clinicians, the Control Room and colleagues in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment, upholding our values and safeguarding service quality.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Maths and English grade C or equivalent required.
• Advanced driving qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional driving service for medical personnel to patient visits.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team at Cumbria Health bases.
• Follow driver authorisation requirements and DVLA guidance for older drivers.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment, ensure safe operation and communication with control room.
• Support clinicians and control room with effective handovers and incident response.
