Job summary

Ipsen Biopharm Ltd in Wrexham is seeking an OT Support Engineer to maintain and optimize manufacturing and laboratory IT/OT systems, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance across production operations.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering teams, delivering technical expertise, supporting validation, disaster recovery, and capital projects to sustain product supply for patients.

Qualifications

• Explicit communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR11, EU ANNEX 11).
• Experience in pharma sector preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing and laboratory IT/OT systems to ensure reliability, compliance, and performance.
• Troubleshoot critical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive effective resolutions.
• Support system lifecycle activities including validation, maintenance, disaster recovery, and obsolescence management.
• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and laboratory systems that enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality support and project outcomes.
• Contribute to capital projects through system design, testing, commissioning, qualification, and handover activities.

Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams, you'll provide technical expertise across manufacturing and laboratory systems, helping to maintain system reliability, drive continuous improvement, and support exciting investment and automation projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing and laboratory IT/OT systems to ensure reliability, compliance, and performance.

• Support system lifecycle activities including validation, maintenance, disaster recovery, and obsolescence management.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Prior experience in a similar position
• Good communication skills.
• Able to keep multiple stakeholders informed
• Regulatory knowledge e.g. GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR11, EU ANNEX 11.
• Ideally experience gained in the pharma industry
