Job Description:

This role is suitable for an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Nurse with thorough knowledge of healthcare, rehabilitation pathways, welfare policy, services, advocacy, and experience working in clinical, healthcare, or rehabilitation settings. Our client, a leading law firm based near London Bridge, is offering a full-time (35 hours/week), permanent position with hybrid working options. Flexible or part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Some travel will be required, mainly in London/South-East, possibly nationwide. Your New Role:

As a Support and Rehabilitation Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Personal Injury and Medical Claims Team. You will collaborate with solicitors to identify clients' rehabilitation and support needs, providing high-level support to clients with life-changing injuries. Your focus will be on coordinating, monitoring, and facilitating access to relevant services, and supporting the legal team in managing rehabilitation programs to meet clients' goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with clients with serious injuries to assess their needs and working with the legal team and healthcare professionals to develop support and rehabilitation plans.
  • Monitoring client progress through rehabilitation, ensuring access to appropriate care, support, and resources.
  • Collaborating with NHS, statutory, private healthcare providers, and legal teams to adapt rehabilitation programs and advocate for statutory support when needed.
  • Building relationships with charitable and voluntary organizations to connect clients with resources, providing advocacy, signposting, and practical support.
  • Offering emotional and educational support to clients and families, explaining legal and rehabilitation processes, and possibly visiting clients at home or in medical settings.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
  • Qualification in a clinical field (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy).
  • Active registration with HCPC or NMC.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, rehabilitation, welfare benefits, and advocacy services.
  • Experience in rehabilitation coordination, preferably within the personal injury sector, with knowledge of major trauma pathways.
  • Understanding of cross-condition issues (brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, birth injury, industrial disease, bereavement).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence.
  • A full, clean driving license and access to a car are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of litigation-related rehabilitation pathways is desirable.
