Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an IT/OT Convergence Engineer to deliver hands-on OT engineering and support enterprise SCADA environments. You will work across OT networks, PLC/RTU platforms, and data exchange mechanisms, with a clear pathway toward IT/OT convergence technologies including edge and cloud integration.

The role requires practical experience with OT systems, strong industrial networking fundamentals, and awareness of cyber security principles.

Qualifications

• Experience with OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs and RTUs.
• Strong grounding in industrial networking and cyber-secure operations.
• Able to diagnose and resolve issues in live operational environments.
• Experience in regulated sectors (water/utilities) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on engineering across OT, SCADA and industrial networks.
• Support IT/OT connectivity deployments including switches, firewalls and secure remote access.
• Assist with OT data exchange mechanisms (OPC UA, MQTT) under guidance.
• Participate in site and enterprise engineering activities in live environments.
• Contribute to standard designs, build guides, and reusable templates.
• Produce as-built docs, diagrams and configuration records.
• Build capability in edge/cloud convergence technologies through delivery and learning.
