OT Infra Engineer — Hybrid, SC Cleared, Fortinet & VMware

Job summary

TXP is recruiting two experienced OT Infrastructure Engineers to support a major critical infrastructure programme in Newcastle. The role is a 3-month initial contract outside IR35, hybrid with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote, requiring active SC Clearance.

You will deploy and support IT and OT infrastructure, implement Fortinet technologies, and manage Windows/Linux environments across physical and virtual platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong infrastructure engineering background across IT and OT environments.
• Experience in secure or critical infrastructure environments.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
• Fortinet product suite implementation experience.
• Windows and Linux build/deploy experience.
• VMware ESXi and Dell VxRail experience.
• Security hardening of OT environments.
• Experience with SCADA environments and technologies.
• Experience with PAM and vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support IT and OT infrastructure solutions.
• Implement and configure Fortinet technologies.
• Build and deploy Windows environments across physical and virtual platforms.
• Build and administer Linux environments.
• Configure and support Dell VxRail, VMware ESXi and virtualization.
• Implement security hardening within OT environments.
• Deploy and integrate cyber security products and controls.
• Produce technical documentation and requirements packs.
• Engage with governance and multi-supplier stakeholders.
• Support knowledge transfer and capability uplift.
