Job summary
United Utilities, a major North West utility, is seeking an OT Field Technician (Electrical) to join the Operational Technology team at Lostock Water Treatment Works. You will maintain and support OT assets across water treatment operations, ensuring monitoring, control and protection of critical services.
The ideal candidate has an electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship, experience with SCADA/PLCs, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
Qualifications
- Electrical or instrumentation apprenticeship completed.
- Experience with industrial control and automation systems.
- GCSE Maths (Grade 5-9/A-C) and full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support plant monitoring, control and automation systems.
- Diagnose faults and implement recurring maintenance improvements.
- Support SCADA, PLC, telemetry, communications and electronic security systems.
- Collaborate with operations and work management teams for high-quality service.
- Manage workload and priorities per business needs.
- Provide progress updates and ensure delivery of work.
- Ensure Health & Safety and Information Security compliance.
- Maintain customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support reliable operation of OT infrastructure.
