Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking an experienced OT Cyber Security Project Engineer to join the automation team on a project-based contract. The role focuses on designing, building and testing networks and security controls for industrial OT/ICS environments in Warrington, with a hybrid work option.

The ideal candidate will lead technical delivery, collaborate with Project Engineering Management and OT Cyber Security Manager, and ensure safety, compliance and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in design, implementation and testing of OT/ICS networks and cyber security solutions in industrial environments.
• Experience across full project lifecycle from specification to commissioning.
• Familiarity with OT security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443).

Responsibilities

• Deliver OT network management and cyber security controls for the project.
• Design, implement and test secure industrial control systems networks.
• Produce clear design specs, test procedures and maintenance docs.
• Deploy and test security controls for PLC/SCADA environments.
• Support project lifecycle management with risk, issue and progress reporting.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with engineering teams.
