Job summary

Great British Energy - Nuclear is seeking a senior professional to lead the cyber security strategy for OT systems, including PLCs, SCADA and embedded controls, ensuring security is integrated from design to operation.

You will align with IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and UK guidance, drive SbD across OT, engage with engineering, IT and regulators, and shape policies and innovation in OT cyber security.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in OT cyber security management.
• Proven track record securing PLCs and industrial control systems.
• Strong knowledge of OT standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Eligible for UK National Security Vetting - Security Check (SC).

Responsibilities

• Lead the cyber security strategy for OT systems, including ICs, SCADA, and embedded control systems.
• Ensure alignment with IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NCSC guidance and UK Cyber Essentials.
• Act as SbD interface across OT systems; review design proposals for safety-critical systems.
• Engage stakeholders across engineering, IT and regulatory teams to drive cyber assurance.
• Develop OT-focused cyber security policies and foster innovation.
